NO EARLY FINISH FOR SHRIMPS!

MORECAMBE manager Jim Bentley has dismissed talk of his side’s season petering out and insists he is determined to finish on a high despite missing out in the fight for the play-offs.

The Shrimps are sat comfortably in mid-table and Bentley striving for more.

“We want to finish strongly and enjoy it but we won’t be taking our foot off the gas,” said the 38-year-old.

“I think it’s too easy for fans all around the country to say when you’ve got nothing to play for that you’re in holiday mode. There’s absolutely no way we are.

“If we were, we wouldn’t be in training as much as we are. Our preparation’s exactly the same as it has been.”
