AUSTIN HAMMERS TWO-GOAL RIPOSTE
THERE doesn’t appear to be much wrong with Charlie Austin’s knees!
The QPR striker rounded off an eventful week with two goals against Rotherham in a 4-2 victory yesterday – and is now the top scorer in the Championship.
Earlier in the week, £15m-rated Austin had been left fuming when West Ham co-owner David Sullivan ruled out meeting Rangers’ asking price and alleged he had no ligaments in his right knee.
Austin hit back at an ‘outrageous slur’ on his professionalism and responded with goals yesterday.
QPR boss Chris Ramsey said:“(England boss) Roy Hodgson has picked players from the Championship before, so he may be better off here scoring a hatful.”
SPOT-ON: Charlie Austin nets a lastminute penalty to wrap up QPR’s 4-2 win against Rotherham
