RYAN SO CHUFFED TO MAKE RETURN
RYAN Watson says he’s back to finish what he started after joining Northampton on loan from Leicester for a second time.
The 22-year-old made five appearances for the Cobblers at the start of last season, but a cruciate knee ligament injury put paid to his time at Sixfields.
But, fit again, the midfielder is back with Northampton until January 3 and hopes to hit the ground running.
“I am looking forward to getting some games and get going again,” said Watson.
“I’ve been recovering from my injury and I was obviously excited to come back.
“I loved it last time, it was a good experience. Things didn’t end well with the injury but I am happy to be back.
“It’s what I need, to build my confidence back and I missed a lot of football.
“Getting league games now, from my point of view, is what I need and I can’t wait.”
Manager Chris Wilder, meanwhile, is the latest to take out his frustrations on the poor old fixture computer.
He said:“It seems ridiculous to me that we have pre-season and then go straight into eight games in 24 days, or nine games in 27 days.
“It is ridiculous, but we will try and get over those games with the players and we have to move on quickly.”
