EVER­TON de­fender Gabby Ge­orge has re­ceived two nom­i­na­tions ahead of the 2015 North West Football Awards.

The 18-year-old has been named along­side Eng­land pair Jill Scott and Fara Wil­liams for the Women’s Player of the Year gong, while Manch­ester City’s Nikita Par­ris and Maz Pacheco of Liver­pool are in the run­ning for the Women’s Ris­ing Star of the Year.

And Ge­orge is grate­ful Ever­ton have given her an op­por­tu­nity to shine in an area prov­ing to be the hot­bed of women’s football.

“Ever­ton have been vi­tal to why I have been nom­i­nated for the awards by giv­ing me the op­por­tu­ni­ties I have had with them,” the Eng­land Un­der-19 in­ter­na­tional said.

“Hav­ing so much game time in WSL 1 and 2 along­side start­ing in the FA Cup fi­nal at 17 has helped me.”

The awards will be pre­sented at The Point, Emi­rates Old Traf­ford on Novem­ber 16.
