It’s snatch of the day for Scally
HAVING seen his side muscle their way to the top of the table, Gillingham chairman Paul Scally was keen to show he has the strength to keep his team progressing.
Scally was first to pump some iron as the Gills, leading League One going into the weekend, opened a new state of the art gym at their Priestfield home.
And after the Kent side were unbeaten in their first four league matches, Scally hopes the investment shows on the pitch, and not just on the treadmill.
Scally said:“This is an extremely professional and international level gym and we need to push the players on now, both mentally and physically to the next level.
“All the players are priceless because they’re very important to what we’re trying to achieve - promotion to the Championship.”
