CRAWLEY ‘FIT AND PROPER’
CRAWLEY Town chairman Dave Pottinger has confirmed the club’s mystery benefactor has passed the fit and proper persons test.
The news comes as the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance confronted the board in July enquiring about the club’s finances.
Pottinger insisted that the club has always tried to keep the income they receive quiet from the fans to respect the privacy of their anonymous benefactors.
“We consulted the Football League who confirmed the club was within its rights to keep benefactor information confidential,” he said. “But the benefactors voluntarily agreed to take the fit and proper persons test.”
