McCARTHY SAYS NO TO LOANS

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

MICK McCarthy insists he has no plans to add to his Ipswich Town squad when the loan window opens next week.

Despite the transfer window closing on Tuesday, Football League clubs can make temporary additions from next Wednesday.

But McCarthy admits he has no intention of dipping his toe into the loan market, with several players returning from injury to add to the 12 he has already signed.

“I doubt I will be entering into that market,” he said. “Not when I get Christophe Berra, Teddy Bishop, Daryl Murphy, Kevin Bru and Jonathan Parr back to go with the ones we have got.

“I will have a squad of 23, so won’t need anyone else.”
