ROOFE IS TOLD TO REST UP
KEMAR ROOFE could be back in an Oxford shirt before too long, according to manager Michael Appleton.
The midfielder, who has five goals in seven games so far this season, injured his shoulder after netting a superb winning goal against Bristol Rovers last weekend.
Thankfully for the club, however, the 22-year-old will not require surgery and could return in the next couple of weeks.
“It shouldn’t be too long,” said Appleton. “We just have to ensure he can’t cause any more damage by playing.
“You don’t want to turn an injury that means you are going to miss one game into one where you could miss five or six.”
