FRANK FIELDING has been downloading from the app store to help new boy Jonathan Kodjia settle at Bristol City.

Kodjia joined the club from French side Angers SCO in July and has been paired up with former England U21 goalkeeper Fielding on away days. In an attempt to speed up the Ivory Coastborn striker’s English, his roommate has downloaded a translation app on his phone and manager Steve Cotterill is happy to see his € 3million man welcomed with open arms.

“Frankie would help anyone out with anything, so to get him in with Jonathan’s a bonus,” said Cotterill.

“It’s not a combination you would have instinctively put together – but it works. It’s been a big help that they get on very well.

“The players have taken to Jonathan and it looks like he’s taken to them. The rest of his integration has come on the training ground.”
