GLOVERS SET TO CELEBRATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY IN STYLE
YEOVIL Town have sent an open invitation to all of their former players and managers to attend next weekend’s game with Oxford United to mark the club’s 25th anniversary.
The Glovers, originally known as Yetminster when they took the field for the first time in 1990 against Weymouth Vikings, are flying high in WSL 2.
And ever-growing interest in the club, who officially took on the Yeovil Town name in 1999, has seen them switch matches from their usual Sherborne Town home to Huish Park more regularly this season than ever before.
A statement on the club website said: “One thing everyone involved with the club over the last 25 years shares in common is that they all have helped build one of the most progressive clubs in women’s football and can look forward to an equally exciting next 25 years.”
