HARRIS TAMES LIONS FEARS AS

MILLWALL manager Neil Harris admitted he was relieved after his side finally ended their Den hoodoo with victory over Rochdale.

The Lions went into this game having suffered four straight League One defeats in front of their own followers.

But they went home happy thanks to goals from Jimmy Abdou, Shaun Williams and Steve Morison – despite an inevitable scare courtesy of Peter Vincenti’s late first-half equaliser – to take the pres- sure off a delighted manager in Harris.

He said: “It is a weight off my mind because we are a long way into September and the first home win has not come.

“What has been bizarre is as much as we want to win here it has been difficult, not just for me, my staff and the squad but for the fans. I understand that because I’ve got friends who are Millwall fans.
