ARGYLE MISS OUT ON SUMMIT
PLYMOUTH boss Derek Adams refused to be downbeat after his side missed the chance to go top of League Two.
The visitors struck the bar twice as Mansfield recovered from a slow start to remain unbeaten at home this season in an entertaining goalless draw.
And despite missing out on the summit Adams was happy with a point.
Adams said:“It is definitely two points lost, but it is very early in the season. It is not about going top, it is about putting together performances. We had plenty of good opportunities, particularly in the first half, but sometimes you have to go away from home and take a point.
“We probably should have been out of sight at half-time.
“We played very well for the first 30 minutes and could have scored four or five goals when we totally dominated. I am delighted with the play
