HAL CROWNS FINE ROYALS DISPLAY

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

READING came out on top of intriguing encounter between two of the division’s in-form sides and Steve Clarke’s men were outstanding in both boxes.

Clarke named a very attacking line up and the Royals’ front trio of Hal Robson-Kanu, Nick Blackman and Orlando Sa did not give the Boro back-line any respite.

Robson Kanu was outstanding, providing Wales boss Chris Coleman with a timely reminder of his quality ahead of vital Euro 2016 qualifiers.

At the other end Michael Hector showed why Jose Mourinho took him to Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Hector and Paul McShane put up the shutters as Boro improved in the second half after a dismal first half display from Aitor Karanka’s side.
