LADY PIES NEED TO IMPROVE
DEFENDER Fern Whelan hopes Notts County can make the necessary investment in the summer to ensure they are strong enough to mount a title challenge next term.
The Lady Pies were in the mix at the top of the table until August, but a slump in form means they are set to end the season without silverware.
But Whelan wants that to change next term.
“There are massive improvements to be made to the team,” he said. “We started the season well and have put in some good performances. Hopefully now we can build on our squad.
“It would be good to have players who can come off the bench and make an impact into the game. We need to make sure we can carry on for a whole season.”
