PRESSLEY IGNORED BY LADY LUCK

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

STEVEN Pressley’s reign at Fleetwood Town began with a defeat, though his side certainly deserved something from the game.

Ironically for Pressley his first game in the Town dugout came against the side he left in February, Coventry City.

For a side low on confidence and without a league win since thumping Colchester United 4-0 in August, the Cod Army defended well.

The last-minute goal for Tony Mowbray’s men summed things up for Fleetwood currently, with a Chris Maxwell save deflecting off Richard Wood and into his own goal. Until that moment Pressley, a centre-half himself in his playing days, would have been proud of the performance of his two centre-backs, Wood and Dionatan Teixeira.
