The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

BOLTON winger Wellington Silva will be out of action for up to ten weeks after suffering a hamstring tear.

The Brazilian sustained the injury in the first half of the Trotters’ 1-0 loss to Birmingham City on Tuesday.

He burst between two Blues defenders and fell in the box, only to be booked for simulation and limp off.

The 22-year-old has spent the last four years out on loan, with Bolton his sixth spell away from the parent club Arsenal following stints at five Spanish clubs.

“The injury is a blow,” said Bolton boss Neil Lennon. “We’re expecting him to be out for about ten weeks.”
