BARCA? HARROLD WILL DO FOR ME...
MARKY ates has told fans to forget fantasies of Crawley Town replicating Barcelona and hailed target-man Matt Harrold as the reason behind their change of form.
After a run of four successive defeats, the Red Devils bounced back to win three of their next four games heading into this weekend.
And boss Yates believes Harrold, 31, is responsible for their upturn in results.
“He’s been a big part of what we’re about this season, there’s no getting away from that fact,” said Yates. “Everyone wants to see Barcelona-style, silky football I would imagine but we’ve got Matt Harrold in League Two and he can be a real threat.”
But Harrold believes their form is down to the strength in depth of the squad at the Broadfield Stadium.
“Since I’ve been at the club I can’t remember a time where we have had so many people missing out on the squad,” he said.
“It’s only healthy and I don’t think there’s been enough of that since I’ve come to the club.
“I think that’s the sign of a good team and a good squad.”
