MORECAMBE man­ager Jim Bent­ley in­sists there is even more to come from Shaun Miller, af­ter the 28-year-old for­ward was named League Two Player of the Month.

In­tent on mak­ing up for time lost due to in­jury, Miller scored six goals in five games dur­ing Oc­to­ber – the high­light a 30-yard dip­ping vol­ley in his side’s 5-2 win at AFC Wim­ble­don.

“Shaun is in great form,” said Bent­ley. “His pro­fes­sion­al­ism to­wards his job has been first class.We felt once he got a goal to match th­ese per­for­mances that he would go on and do what he does best; score goals. I’m sure there will be more to fol­low.”

Af­ter in­jur­ing his cru­ci­ate lig­a­ment while at Sh­effield United, Miller never got a run of games af­ter a move to Coven­try City, and he ad­mits play­ing week in, week out has made the world of dif­fer­ence.

He said: “I’ve not played much in the last cou­ple of years so to get the award is very sat­is­fy­ing.The man­ager and phys­ios have been qual­ity. Hope­fully now I can stay in­jury-free.”
