JAKE Forster-Caskey is not the type of player to sit back and feel sorry for himself, according to the Brighton midfielder’s stepfather.

Nicky Forster made more than 600 league appearances for eight clubs, and has watched the 21-year-old turn out regularly for the Seagulls in the last two seasons.

However, the England Under-21 international is currently out of favour for manager Chris Hughton’s high-flying side, and is now on loan at MK Dons.

“This is probably the longest period he has been out of the team,” said Forster.

“When he doesn’t play he is not afraid to knock on the manager’s door and ask questions that managers sometimes find difficult to answer.”
