The Football League Paper - - WOMEN'S FOOTBALL WEEKLY -

FRUSTRATION all round at my old club Cardiff. Like QPR, it’s been one long hangover since relegation from the Premier League.

You’ve had a big turnover of players, budgets being cut, managers coming and going, the furore over the kit.

Fans at the minute are just a bit disillusioned because they can’t see any sense of direction, on or off the pitch.

In fairness, they have improved under Russell Slade. Defensively, they’re a lot tighter. But Joe Mason aside, they are lacking goals and a creative spark.

If they want to make the play-offs, they need reinforcements in that area. Sadly, from what I hear, I don’t think Russell will get much money for players in January.

All Russell can do is try and get a bit of improvement out of them. And it is there because I know for a fact that some of those players have extra gears in them. They need to step up.
