I’M BRAD TOM HAS GOT HIS WALES CHANCE

The Football League Paper - - WOMEN'S FOOTBALL WEEKLY -

WELL done Tom Bradshaw on his first call up for Wales. The Walsall striker,

pictured above, scored 20 goals last season, despite missing a decent chunk of it through injury. This year, he’s got another nine so far.

Tom’s a natural finisher. He scores goals with his head, with either foot. He’s got good movement and always seems to be in the right place. He’s there on merit and deserves his chance.

It’s great to see players from the lower leagues getting recognised because that’s what happened to me. I was playing for Cardiff when I got my first cap and getting that call up really helped my confidence. And let’s be honest. For all the brilliance of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, up front is probably the area where Wales are weakest. We don’t have any natural finishers.

It’s a great opportunity for Tom to get on the pitch and show boss Chris Coleman and the coaches what he’s about, especially with Euro 2016 on the horizon.
