YORK City defender George Swan insists the Minstermen are already feeling the benefit of the recent arrival of manager Jackie McNamara.

The club went into the weekend just three points clear of the drop zone with two wins under their belt.

But ex-Wolves man Swan, 21, insists they are on the up.

“The gaffer is creating a very professional set-up and we all feel a lot better for it,” he said.

“Areas have been identified that we need to improve on as a team and we already think we can do that.

“Now we all know where we stand and we can kick on from here.”
