STRIKER MURPHY’S EURO AIM
FORWARD Daryl Murphy knows that he will have to perform for Ipswich if he wants to make it to next year’s European Championships with the Republic of Ireland.
Murphy was involved as Ireland beat Bosnia and Herzegovina this week to secure their place in the tournament next summer.
“I have to make sure I’m in the squad and there’s only one way that will happen – by doing well for Ipswich,” said the 32-year-old.
“We need to have a good season, simple as that, because only 23 players can go to France. The only way I’m going to do it is if I’m playing regularly and scoring goals.”
