The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

JOSH WINDASS says he will not listen to his father Dean’s advice while considering whether or not to sign a new contract at the Wham Stadium.

The 21-year-old midfielder came through Huddersfield’s academy before moving to Accrington in 2013 after a spell with Harrogate Railway.

His current deal runs until the summer and former Hull striker Dean has advised his son to turn down Accrington’s contract offer.

“He was just a bit upset by some things that have happened,” said Josh.

“I think he feels that I’m under pressure to sign a contract but every decision I make will be my own decision, not his decision.”
