KIERAN AGARD admits it’s a relief to be back playing for Bristol City after a long-term knee injury had kept him out of action for six months.

The Robins striker suffered the injury in July, and finally made his first start against Wolves at the start of the month.

“It’s been fantastic; it’s given me an extra spring in my step on the training ground and on the pitch,” explained the 26-year-old. “It was a disappointing and mentally testing time.

“It was quite a bad injury and it takes time to get over something like that, but I worked hard on the training ground and played in reserve games to get back up to match speed.”
