ROYALS LEAD RACE FOR DAN
READING are in pole position to sign Dulwich Hamlet attacking midfielder Dan Sweeney.
The former AFC Wimbledon youngster has really caught the attention since joining Hamlet from fellow Ryman Premier outfit Kingstonian in October.
The 21-year-old has netted six goals in eight appearances for his new club, attracting the eye of a number of Football League clubs.
However, Sweeney, who had a trial with Ipswich in 2013, has been training with Reading over the last couple of weeks, giving them the best chance to sign him.
Fellow Championship clubs Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Charlton and MK Dons have also been reported to be interested.
