INJURIES TAKE TOLL ON PLYMOUTH

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

ARGYLE let the bragging rights slip from their grasp after producing one of their poorest displays of the season.

The league leaders, who had won seven out of their last eight going into the match, were robbed of the spine of their team through injury and paid the penalty with some sloppy defending. Manager Derek Adams will be praying he can get the likes of Carl McHugh, Luke McCormick, Hiram Boateng, Reuben Reid and Peter Hartley back into the side if they are to sustain a title challenge.

As for Exeter, they were mighty thankful to Ryan Harley, who fired them in front from the spot and doubled their lead with a touch of the sublime, leaving Argyle to count the cost of their abject first half and their lead at the top has been cut to two points.
