SWAN’S OLI HELPS OUT THE EXILES
NEWPORT COUNTY have signed striker Oliver McBurnie from Swansea on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old joined the Swans from Bradford in the summer, where he had already made 20 appearances for the first team.
McBurnie also had a loan spell at Non-League Chester last season, where he scored five times in 14 appearances.
Exiles manager John Sheridan said he wanted to bring in another striker, with Zak Ansah, 21, set to return to Charlton as his loan came to an end.
He said: “I needed to bring someone in, to accompany what I have got already here and to introduce competition for places.”
