ANTHONY GERRARD is hoping he’s finally done enough to prove he is worth the money at Shrewsbury after playing for more than two months for free.

Gerrard struggled to earn a deal in the summer and joined the Shrews on noncontract terms in a bid to prove himself.

“If someone wants someone badly enough, those funds can miraculously appear, just like if a club doesn’t want someone contracts can get terminated with severance pay,” said the 29-year-old defender.

“But it’s been a long time since I played a consecutive run of games like now, I can’t take my eye off what I’m doing on the pitch.”
