CLOUGH: I DON’T HAVE TO SELL

The Football League Paper - - FA CUP THIRD ROUND -

BURTON Albion’s lofty perch in League One will naturally have bigger teams sniffing around their players this January but manager Nigel Clough is adamant the club will not be required to sell.

The club are believed to have already rejected enquiries about top scorer Nasser El Khayati and Clough claims any selling will be on Burton’s terms.

Clough said:“It’s a lovely situation whereby it will be the same principle that’s always applied when we’ve sold players.

“If it’s a step up and a good deal for the club, we look at it but the club doesn’t need the money, so unless it’s right for all parties then we don’t entertain it.”
