YATES: NO NEED FOR PANIC BUYS

The Football League Paper - - FA CUP THIRD ROUND -

INJURY-ravaged Crawley will not be making any panic January signings insists boss Mark Yates, despite having only 16 fit players for yesterday’s clash with Cambridge.

Yates says making the right signings is more important than rushing into deals.

“I can’t get someone in just for the sake of it,” he said. “I’ve got the smallest squad in the world at the moment. I could go and get three or four players but I’ve got to get the right ones.

“We have been desperately trying to get the ones who will make us better and provide fresh impetus for us to kick on in the league.”
