MIKE’S MOVE IS JUST THE TICKET FOR KEN

- By Joshua Richards

MIKE Williamson has returned to Wolves following a successful loan spell earlier in the season to sign an 18-month contract at Molineux.

The 32-year-old defender played five games for Wolves in October and November before returning to parent club Newcastle United but he is back in the Midlands permanently.

And manager Kenny Jackett is excited to see the impression that his arrival will have on the rest of the squad.

“Mike made an excellent impact whilst here with us on loan, and brought his considerable experience and leadership to the back four,” said Jackett.

“We will be pleased to secure his services and are looking forward to getting him back here and making another positive impact on the team.”

Jackett has also brought in Hakeem Odoffin, who arrives from Barnet on a twoand-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 17-year-old defender had stints with Premier League Tottenham and Reading before moving to the Bees and will join up with Wolves’ U21 squad.

“Wolves was definitely the best option for me and I just can’t wait to get started,” said Odoffin.

“I definitely learnt a lot playing with the first team at Barnet and I can hopefully bring that experience forward and work hard.

“Barnet have been great about it so I was never worried and I knew I was always going to end up coming here. I’m just happy to get it done.”
