Bournemouth’s su­perb year - their first in the Premier League - rolls on af­ter strolling into the fifth round but Portsmouth are show­ing signs that a sim­i­lar re­vival is not just a far­fetched dream.

In fact the gen­uine an­swer to the big­ger club ques­tion is still open for de­bate, with both of­fer­ing qual­ity ar­gu­ments in a fre­netic yet pul­sat­ing 90 min­utes of ding dong derby ac­tion.
