The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP - By Pippa Field

BRADFORD City manager Phil Parkinson declared himself satisfied with his side’s dealings on the final day of the transfer window, but is not finished yet.

Midfielder Gary Liddle joined Chesterfield and striker Luke James’ loan deal from Peterborough United was terminated, allowing him to move to Hartlepool United, while the Bantams tied down Fleetwood striker Jamie Proctor, 23, to a permanent deal on a hectic deadline day.

“Lidds is a good player and a great professional, but Chesterfield made a good offer financially for a player who only had five months left on his current contract,” Parkinson said.

“Jamie is very keen to do well and push for a place here.We want that competition for places at the top end.We felt recently that we had to freshen things up a bit with our attacking options, and the arrivals of Jamie and Wes (Thomas) should help.

“The loan window opens up again soon and we’ll be looking to do some more business then.”

EAGER: Jamie Proctor
