JAMES Mad­di­son has promised that he will do ev­ery­thing he can to help Coven­try City win pro­mo­tion be­fore he links up with Nor­wich City this sum­mer.

Mad­di­son, 19, joined the Premier League out­fit on trans­fer dead­line day for an undis­closed fee be­fore be­ing loaned back to the Sky Blues for the rest of the sea­son.

He said:“I’m ab­so­lutely de­lighted to have joined Nor­wich City as the next chap­ter in my ca­reer.

“This is dream for me and I’m look­ing for­ward to start- ing my jour­ney with the Ca­naries.

“As for the rest of the sea­son I can prom­ise I will give ev­ery­thing to help gain pro­mo­tion for my home­town club Coven­try City, a club that has made me the player and per­son I am to­day and I am truly grate­ful to ev­ery sin­gle per­son who has a part to play in my de­vel­op­ment.

“It is a club that will for­ever have a place in my heart. It’s been an hon­our to wear the sky blue shirt of my own city and I will con­tinue to wear it with pride for the re­main­der of the sea­son.”
