ROVERS’ TRIO HIT GROUND RUNNING
DANNY GRAHAM is loving life as part of a new-look Blackburn front three.
Striker Graham arrived at Ewood Park in January on loan from Sunderland and joined fellow new recruits Jordi Gomez and Tony Watt – who also joined last month on loan from the Black Cats and Charlton respectively – in attack in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Graham, 30, is predicting big things for the trio.
“I’ve played with Jordi at Sunderland so I know what he is all about and what ability he has,” he said.
“On his day he has a wand of a left foot. He managed to get one on Saturday but his work ethic, his touch, his movement, everything was spot-on. Hopefully he can be a big player for us.
“I didn’t know so much about Tony. Obviously, everybody has seen his goal for Celtic against Barcelona and he’s got a lot of hype to live up to with that.
“But, for a young lad, he’s come in and done well, and he was a real threat on Saturday. He’s good on the ball and, hopefully, we can work well together.”
