TURK BID COULD BE DELAYED
A POTENTIAL Turkish consortium bid to take over Crawley Town could be confirmed in the next few days but may face further delays.
The consortium, funded by Turkish first division Kayseri Erciyesspor president Ziya Eren, still needs to complete the Football League’s fit and proper persons test.
Reports suggest the takeover could be confirmed before next weekend’s clash with Plymouth but chief executive Michael Dunford is not dropping any hints about the potential new owners.
“Because of the confidentiality agreement that all parties have signed up to, I am not able to confirm or deny who the other party is,” Dunford said.
