REID CAN BE THE MAN FOR PILGRIMS
DEREK Adams has every faith that Reuben Reid can step up and lead the line for Plymouth Argyle.
Striker Reid, 27, began his career at Plymouth and returned to Home Park permanently in 2014, following a pair of loan spells from Yeovil Town.
He netted 20 times in each of the last two seasons but began the weekend without a goal in his last ten games.
However, after 22-year-old Ryan Brunt suffered what is feared to be a torn anterior cruciate ligament on Tuesday, manager Adams has placed his faith in Reid.
“Reuben can undoubtedly score goals,” he said.“He can lead the line, he can take the ball in and he’s strong.
“He has got a very good idea of the game and you don’t score 20 goals two seasons in a row if you are a poor player.”
