DAWSON’S DELIGHT AT RETURN

KEVIN Dawson says starting a match for Yeovil Town for the first time in over 14 months gave him goosebumps.

The midfielder, 25, was in the starting line-up in the Glovers’ 1-0 win at Mansfield Town last weekend, his sixth appearance since his longterm absence.

Dawson initially injured himself in the FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United on January 4, 2015 – and it’s certainly been a long road back to full fitness for him.

He first had a hip injury and subsequently suffered a groin injury.

“I had goosebumps walking out for it and I was really looking forward to it,” he said

“I knew the night before so I was able to get my mind ready and was happy to complete the whole 90 minutes.

“I came off the pitch in pain, but good pain.”

Now he wants to play a big part in helping Yeovil push up the League Two table.
