MAC SAYS THANKS TO LYNESS

-

BLACKPOOL manager Neil McDonald says he’s waving goodbye to goalkeeper Dean Lyness with a heavy heart.

Lyness, 24, has had two loan spells with the Seasiders this term, his second ending on Tuesday.

Under league rules, his stay cannot be extended and McDonald will be forced to say his farewells, though the manager admits will be keeping a close eye on the shot stopper’s progression.

McDonald said: “Dean is going back, so we thank him for all his efforts.

“We’ll see how that develops and where he’s at with Burton. He’s been good for us and we wish him all the best.”
