ARGYLE ARE FALTERING, LUTON ARE FLYING

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

PLYMOUTH Argyle’s promotion push is now in serious doubt after another below-par performance.

The Pilgrims, who had lost three out of their last four matches, have been in the top three since September but yesterday’s defeat saw them slip to fourth.

Injuries have rocked their progress in recent weeks, but they currently lack attacking penetration and are conceding sloppy goals.

It all adds up to a serious test of character of Derek Adams’ side as they seek a return to League One.

As for Luton, Nathan Jones has guided the Hatters to seven wins from 12 games since he took charge in January and they will fancy their chances of gatecrashing the play-offs.

Jack Marriott carried a real threat at Home Park and was rewarded with a deserved goal.

Luton are one of the sides with the momentum right now and don’t write them off making a late charge for the top seven.
