DERBY COUNTY hosted Not­ting­ham For­est in the Cham­pi­onship yes­ter­day – but they’d al­ready lost one derby against their arch-ri­vals ear­lier in the week!

The BBC teamed up with the mak­ers of pop­u­lar com­puter game Foot­ball Man­ager to com­pile two vir­tual squads of the finest play­ers ever to pull on the red of For­est or the white of Derby for #TheUl­ti­mateDerby.

Ex-For­est de­fender Brian Laws took charge of his old side for the game on the

BBC Ra­dio Not­ting­ham com­puter, while Craig Ra­m­age was in the Rams’ hot-seat.

In the end, For­est ran out 2-1 vic­tors in a hard-fought en­counter, Nigel Clough giv­ing them an early lead, be­fore Steve Bloomer drew the Rams level.

Af­ter Derby’s Ron Web­ster was sent off for his se­cond book­ing with 15 min­utes left, Martin O’Neill popped up with the Reds’ win­ner in the 80th minute, though he did look off­side.
