The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

BURTON have been consistently top of League One since the turn of December – but they will have to do bet- ter than this to stay there. Oldham, with a big relegation fight on their hands and a damaging run of form coming into this game, deservedly held the Brewers.

The Latics had only won one in their last five, but you would never have guessed it.

Their only problem was a lack of a killer instinct.

If they had possessed that then Burton manager Nigel Clough wouldn’t have been as calm as he was after the game.

Burton finished strongly but it wasn’t enough and they will be a bit jittery going into tomorrow night’s game at Millwall. That’s a tough fixture and there’s an even bigger one to come when Wigan come to town.
