The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

THIS hugely-anticipated game between two of League Two’s promotion chasers was a largely disappointing affair brightened up only by a fine Stanley goal.

On this evidence it is Stanley who are surely assured of a play-off berth, and maybe more, if they can keep as solid at the back as they did in this game, and continue to threaten up front with their busy and enterprising play.

While playing defensively away from home at one of the league’s better sides is no crime, Orient offered very little in this game and player manag- er Kevin Nolan should be concerned over how badly his side faded once the hosts hit their stride.

If the key to winning promotion is getting over the line in those ugly games then Accrington should have no concern.
