Attackers abound at Rovers

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

ALL clubs are constantly searching for a consistent goal scorer, but Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke insists he is more than happy with his current crop of attackers.

Matt Taylor bagged his 21st goal of the season when the Pirates defeated Newport County last weekend, while Rory Gaffney, Oliver McBurnie, Ellis Harrison and Jermaine Easter are also options up top – although the latter was left out of the squad for the Exiles clash.

“We have really good competition in our strike force, which is lovely jubbly,” said Clarke.

“I am really pleased with that.

“Oliver has come on, Ellis has come on and, although Jermaine missed out against Newport, he's been excellent in the last three matches.”
