The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

THIS was a statement performance from Luton Town.

The Hatters took over at the summit of League Two with the sort of display that will send shivers down the spine of the division’s defences.

They took the game to Wycombe from the very first whistle, pushing their full-backs forward down the flanks and executing some neat passing through the middle. On another day they might have had six goals, or possibly more.

The reason they didn’t score more was partly down to the excellence of Jamal Blackman in the Wycombe goal and partly down to some wastefulness. On another day those missed chances might come back to bite them, but it feels churlish to criticise after witnessing such a dominant display.
