AMEOBI: MY BRO TALKED UP MOVE

SAMMY AMEOBI was one of five new faces to ar­rive at Bolton Wan­der­ers on trans­fer dead­line day and hopes he can en­joy the same ex­pe­ri­ence brother Shola speaks so fondly of at the Macron Sta­dium.

Amoebi, 24, has agreed a loan switch from New­cas­tle United un­til Jan­uary, with 29-year-old goal­keeper Ben Al­nwick and mid­fielder James Henry, 27, due to be with the Trot­ters for the same time af­ter moves from Peter­bor­ough United and Wolves re­spec­tively.

De­fender Tom Thorpe has joined on a sea­son-long loan from Rother­ham United, while 21-year-old striker Keshi An­der­son will also be with the club for the cam­paign. He joins from Crys­tal Palace, where he is yet to make a se­nior ap­pear­ance.

Ameobi is ex­cited about what lies ahead af­ter his older sib­ling shared sto­ries of his four-month spell at the club last term.

“He (Shola) said some re­ally great things about the club,” he said.
