AMEOBI: MY BRO TALKED UP MOVE
SAMMY AMEOBI was one of five new faces to arrive at Bolton Wanderers on transfer deadline day and hopes he can enjoy the same experience brother Shola speaks so fondly of at the Macron Stadium.
Amoebi, 24, has agreed a loan switch from Newcastle United until January, with 29-year-old goalkeeper Ben Alnwick and midfielder James Henry, 27, due to be with the Trotters for the same time after moves from Peterborough United and Wolves respectively.
Defender Tom Thorpe has joined on a season-long loan from Rotherham United, while 21-year-old striker Keshi Anderson will also be with the club for the campaign. He joins from Crystal Palace, where he is yet to make a senior appearance.
Ameobi is excited about what lies ahead after his older sibling shared stories of his four-month spell at the club last term.
“He (Shola) said some really great things about the club,” he said.
