BOWYER: I’M JUST STARTING

-

BLACKPOOL boss Gary Bowyer has pleaded for time to mark his mark at Bloomfield Road.

Bowyer joined the troubled Tangerines in June and, ahead of yesterday’s visit from Carlisle United, had overseen two wins from the first seven league games.

However, the 45-year-old is keen to emphasise Rome wasn’t built in a day.

“When I first came in the aim was to implement a way of playing and I think we’ve done that,” said Bowyer. “Keith Curle has been at Carlisle for two years and he’s been able to have time to develop his way of playing and that’s been impressive, whereas we’re only at the start of it.

“Anyone who has an understanding of the game knows it takes longer than seven games.”
