HOURIHANE IRISH GLEE

BARNSLEY midfielder Conor Hourihane has been rewarded for his superb start to the season with his first senior call-up for the Republic of Ireland.

Manager Martin O’Neill has named the 25-year-old ex-Plymouth player in a 33-man squad for World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova next month.

“He is a very nice footballer,” said O’Neill. “He has been on the radar for some time.”
