LENIHAN, MULGREW GET VOTE
BLACKBURN manager Owen Coyle says the centre-back partnership of Darragh Lenihan and Charlie Mulgrew is improving all the time.
At 22 and 30 respectively, the combination of youth and experience shut out free-scoring Newcastle last week and Coyle looks set to stick with them despite the return from injury of Gordon Greer.
“They have been getting better by the week,” he said. “Lenihan’s a young man who, for me, is going to be a big, big asset.
“Mulgrew has composure on the ball. He’s a winner with real desire and that filters through to the other players.”
